Tango without Steps: Inclusive & QueerOpen to every body The Origins Tango began over a 100 years ago as a dance of the streets of Buenos Aires and Montevideo. Long before it was polished for stage performances or high-society ballrooms, it was a raw, improvised social dance created by people on the margins of society. We are bringing tango back to these authentic roots. Inclusion & Ability Tango without Steps is about dancing according to your own ability, dancing in a way that only you can. Whether you have a disability or move in your own personal way, the focus is on your uniqueness rather than attempting to fit external standards. Roles & Connection Roles are crucial in tango but they not defined by gender. Everyone is encouraged to learn both roles. The priority isn't how the dance looks to an audience, but the connection between the partners and the joy of the dance itself. What to Expect: Dual-Role Learning: Everyone has the opportunity to learn both leading and following. Accessible Movement: We prioritize improvisation based on the fundamental principles of tango and your individual abilities over external standards or choreographed steps. Focus on Joy: The goal is a shared connection and a depth of experience. Join Us! Krõõt Juurak (1981 Tallinn, Estonia) is a dancer, choreographer and stand-up comedian.
